MISA SHIN GALLERY is pleased to announce our participation in the 2025 edition of Tokyo Gendai, which will be held at Pacifico Yokohama, Japan.
This year, we will present a solo exhibition of Shingo Francis’s latest works from his Interference series. These paintings utilize interference pigments—materials that reflect and refract light to produce iridescent effects contingent upon the viewer’s position. In contrast to chromatic systems that rely on fixed hues, the Interference series articulates color as relational and dynamic. As viewers move around the works, subtle gradations emerge, dissolve, and reconfigure, generating a temporal experience that foregrounds perception itself in the interplay of color, light, and shadow.
