We are pleased to announce Jaeeun Choi’s solo exhibition “Where Beings Be” will be held at Seoul Museum of Art from December 23, 2025 to April 5, 2026. The exhibition brings together a wide range of works that define Choi’s artistic universe, including Lucy, a monumental sculpture symbolizing the origins of humankind; works addressing the urgency of today’s ecological crisis; pieces that reveal invisible layers and traces of life’s cycles; and pressed specimens of endangered plants that evoke fragile yet persistent forms of life. It also introduces Dreaming of Earth, a long-term project that began in the DMZ and later expanded into Nature Rules, presenting ecological and peace-oriented visions for the future. Through this exhibition, visitors are invited to reflect on how we exist in the world and how we might relate to the many forms of life with which we share it. Rather than proposing a new manifesto, Where Beings Be reflects on the interconnectedness of beings that have long coexisted and gently asks what it means to live together.
